State of the art Equipment
The spring water is pumped through stainless steel pipes, then bottled
with maximum protection against air pollutants and harmful bacteria at state-of-the-art
facilities. Then, our natural spring water is filtered through 7 steps with the
last being sub-micron filtration, which surpasses the standards, set by the government
for bottled water.
Award Winning Water
In 1999 our water won the Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting Competition. “It
was awarded as the best tasting water in the world."
Mountain Valley Spring Water
Located in Hot Springs, Arkansas
Mountain Valley comes from a protected spring near Hot Springs, Arkansas. Mountain
Valley Spring Company owns and protects over 600 acres that surround the spring.
The area of the Glazypeau and Cedar mountains has unique geological properties,
including the depth, thickness, and composition of rock layers. The origin
of Mountain Valley water is local, meaning that our water has traveled through
layers
of shale, sandstone, and limestone. The water is filtered as it also acquires
unique mineral properties like calcium, magnesium, and various trace elements.
A hydrological report using carbon-dating found that the water coming from
the Mountain Valley spring today fell as rain over Hot Springs about 3,500
years
ago.

As the water emerges from the spring, it passes through a micron-barrier filter
and exposed to ultraviolet light to disinfect any contaminants that may be present.
Before the water is sealed, both the bottle and water are sprayed with ozone
to disinfect any other contaminants that may have been picked up during the manufacturing
process.
Our bottling facility has an on-site lab with a combined 55 years of experience
that conducts daily testing on source water, finished product, and at each
and every stage of the bottling process. Lab workers make rounds every
half hour,
inspecting, verifying, testing and/or taste testing the water. Well over
50 bacterial tests and 75 water quality checks are run each day. A third
party lab verifies
all testing done by the Mountain Valley bottling facility's internal lab. Award Winning Water
Since its inception in 1991, the annual Berkeley Springs International
Water Tasting competition has provided a forum for water bottlers and municipalities
to put their products to the test. Mountain Valley Spring Water has won several
awards in this competition, including two Gold Medals as "the best-tasting
non-carbonated water in the world."
We are certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), Orthodox Union
(OU), Military, and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), all of which audit
Mountain Valley annually for quality assurance standards. |
